Pen & Paper Trading Post

Welcome to the first of our Summer Camp Swap Meet Series!

For this event, we encourage you to bring any pen that you find interesting, cool, or unique that you might want to share with other pen-thusiasts to try out! This could include fountain pens (Do you have a special nib? Does it have a cool engraving? Is it a unique material? Is it a special edition? The list is endless!), gel pens (Did you find THE PERFECT gel pen in a gas station once and you’ve never even heard of the brand??), ballpoints (got an Antique inherited Parker that you want to show off?!) and anything else that you consider a writing instrument worth sharing with others.

What goes together like cookies and milk? Pens and paper of course! So make sure to also bring some cool paper to swap with friends! Perhaps you have some loose leaf papers that you think folks would like, or maybe you have a notebook or pad of paper that you aren’t using and you'd like to swap it for something else.

*Note for the pens specifically - it is not expected that you bring pens to give away or swap, although you are welcome to do so. This is more in the idea of sharing a new pen experience with people.

We ask that everyone be respectful when handling others’ pens and when deciding on what (and how many) materials to take. 

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED so that we know how many tables and chairs to prepare.

Cost: This event is FREE, but since there are resources, time, and staff needed to host an event such as this, we do suggest a donation of $10

What to Bring: pens to share or swap, loose leaf papers, notepads, etc.

What Will Be Provided: Tables, chairs, staff oversight. There is no agenda or structure to this event! 

What You Will Receive: Camaraderie and maybe some new goodies! If you register and attend this event, you will receive the Pen & Paper Swap merit badge.
