Oct. 17 | Patchwork Mends for Woven Fabrics

Workshop participants will learn two different visible mending techniques to keep their clothes in rotation. The beauty of visible mending is that it embraces imperfection, and participants will leave with the skills to fix holes creatively and with style. No sewing experience required!

Turn a zippered mesh pouch or thrifted wallet into a seriously handy journal or sketchbook cover.In this hands-on workshop, Patricia & Alexx will show you how to create a Traveler’s-style journal cover with built-in zippered pouches for stashing pens, stickers, notebooks, and all your little journaling bits.

Dec. 5 | Woven Darns for Knitted Fabrics

In this workshop, we’ll learn woven mending suitable for knitted items (sweaters, knitted hats, wool socks, etc.). Favorite sweater get eaten by hungry moths or wearing at the elbows? Bring them, and Mick will teach you how to strengthen the fabric to prevent tears and cover holes to keep you warm and toasty all winter.

In this hands-on workshop, Sara will show you how to mix just three colors into a cohesive, versatile twelve-color palette. We’ll slow down, experiment, and play with color while exploring how this simple, repetitive process of mixing can be a calming and mindful creative practice.
