Do y’all remember the absolute iconic “Campsgiving” play at the end of Summer Camp in the 1993 Addams Family Values movie? Of course you do, because you are cultured.
Well, this is our Campsgiving! But like, a little different. Instead of requiring you to participate in a play that is a wholly inaccurate depiction of the first “Thanksgiving”, we’re gonna just let you get up in front of the friends you’ve made over the course of Summer Camp Swap Meets and show and/or tell about something that excites you!
You could share a journal spread you're proud of, a story you're writing, artwork in progress, a beloved pen pal letter, a strange thrifted treasure, a new poem, your favorite new camp skill, or anything else that's bringing you joy. No pressure, no grades —just a chance to share your enthusiasm with a room full of people who get it.
This is about as wholesome as it gets, folks! No promises but maybe we’ll end the evening with a chorus of “Take Me Home, Country Roads”.
We ask that everyone be respectful when others are up showing & telling, and that y’all use your good judgement on what to show & tell.
